As our Quality Inspector, you will perform inspections of incoming materials, in-process manufactured parts, and outgoing products. If any materials are defective, you’ll handle the processing and disposition. You have strong communication skills and are great at writing technical reports. Thanks to your time management skills inspections are processed on time and reports and material status are communicated effectively.

On an average day, you’ll:

• Inspect incoming materials (IQC) by confirming they meet specifications and creating a report.
• Evaluate in-process production through visual and measurement tests.
• Inspect outgoing materials/products (OQC) by confirming they meet specifications. This includes reviewing testing reports, reviewing safety labeling, making sure in-process checklists are 100% done and completing quality checklists, taking pictures, and generating reports.
• Identify and isolate non-conforming material by generating Nonconforming Material Reports (NC’s) and Discrepant Material Reports (DMR’s) and moving the material into quarantine

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 1-3 years of experience in a Manufacturing or Quality environment
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings as well as understand engineering and part tolerances
• Experience with various verification tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified Quality Technician (CQT)
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management requirements

This is a full-time hourly position, Monday through Friday. This position requires periodic evening and weekend work. It is based in our facility in South Burlington, VT. The position operates in both a professional office environment and manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses standard personal protective equipment such as required Safety Glasses and Safety shoes as well as hearing protection and gloves, as required.
