As an Applications Engineer at Dynapower, you provide technical support for our inside and field sales team, specifically for our Thyrister, Switch Mode IGBT power supplies, and Chopper power supplies. You'll be the point person for customers' technical questions, as well as support for our front-line sales team. You'll prepare and perform product trainings and presentations for customers and assist in writing technical proposals for sales bids. You'll also assist in costing the projects for Sales proposals and develop the process and algorithm for costing of industrial power supplies. Join Dynapower in powering a cleaner planet! 

On an average day, you’ll

• Work closely with the Sales team to identify and provide reliable technical solutions for all customer technical specifications 
• Provide design and specification development support to customers, consultants, and distributors
• Prepare and perform technical/product training and presentations for targeted customer accounts
• Meet with targeted accounts to identify needs, discuss offered technology, and support the Sales team
• Assist in writing technical proposals for sales bids by managing our pricing tool and estimating equipment costs 
• Communicate with the Design Engineering group and assist throughout the design process
• Recognize market needs and assist in new product development

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• 5 years of experience in electrical design of power electronics equipment
• Technical Support or Sales Support experience
• Experience in Application Engineering
• Proficient in AutoCAD
• Knowledgeable in Thyristor, Switch Mode, and Chopper Rectifier system applications
• Able to read civil, electrical, and mechanical drawings
