Position

This entry level position is responsible for learning the integration of all major subassemblies into a final product, ready for testing.

Essential Functions

  • Observe all safety and plant regulations and report violations immediately
  • Locate and install subassemblies according to engineering documentation
  • Learn Dynapower processes and standards to build assemblies
  • Pull components from part kit, check against master bill of materials
  • Begin to gain general competence in one or more of the following skill sets:
    • Plumbing
    • Electrical
    • Mechanical
  • Return all tools to the tool cabinet at the end of the day.
  • Ensure the quality of the finished product is signed off on by a level 2 or 3 before the unit leaves to go to test.
  • Keep area organized, safe and clean.

Minimum Job Requirements

Required Skills & Capabilities

  • Perform all skills outlined in the “Computer Skills” document (Document A).
  • Start to read and interpret engineering prints and parts list.
  • Start to visualize final product and infer assembly detail from engineering documentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret various measuring instruments, i.e. tape measure.
  • Ability to organize own work.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent experience.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Work Environment
This position works in a manufacturing production environment. This role routinely uses standard personal protective equipment such as required Safety Glasses and Safety shoes as well as hearing protection and gloves, as required.
 
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk and hear. This position is very active and requires prolonged standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds, push/pull carts with up to 200 pounds and pinch/grip often. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
 
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This position requires periodic off hours and weekend work.
 
Travel
No travel is required for this position.
 
Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable)
This position may involve access to ITAR (International Traffic and Arms Regulations)-controlled information, requiring verification of US-immigration status which is used solely for determining applicable ITAR licensing requirements.
